Our Journey

We decided to create a blog so we could share with family and friends about "our journey". Our son Noah is 4 years old and he is the constant light in our world. He was born with a rare genetic disorder called Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome.. Life has not always been easy but Noah has taught us how to be courageous. We are so proud of his accomplishments the past four years. He is beautiful, funny, courageous and strong. We feel so blessed God has chosen us to raise Noah.. We also hope that new parents receiving an RTS diagnosis will find comfort in our words. Nicholas is the perfect addition to our family. God has once again blessed us with a amazing, beautiful little boy. We are so comforted knowing that Noah now has a little brother. Life is beautiful having these two angels in our world.

Dear Noah "My First Born."

As I am approaching my due date for your brother, I am reminded of how much you have changed me. It has all been for the better my sweet boy. You came into this world and with you brought so much strength and love. Nothing will ever compare to the bond and connection I feel with you. My heart is filled with so much awe and love for you. I know you will make a great big brother. You have made me see the world through clearer "new" eyes. You have given me strength I never knew existed inside of me. You have helped me become more patient, more understanding and less ignorant to differences. You have shown me how to love in a whole new way. You have made me look past fear and focus on hope. You have made me confident enough to stand up for myself and especially you. I want you to know that just because I have a new baby to care for it doesn't change a thing between us. I will still always be there for you. I will always love you. I will always fight for what's best for you. I will always speak for you if you are not able. Most of all I will try to always be the best Mom for you. You will never be alone. You will always be safe. You will always be the better part of me. You will always be the one who showed me the light. I love you son always. Love, Ma Ma.
